So good to be back on the field again, and the sun came out too!
We started with a good 5-2 win over Blackadders, to ease us into the comp, we had a few new players to the club, running out with us, so great opportunity to develop, locally.
Our second game was another win over newcomers Otterspool, with a 9-2 scoreline.
A tough game against our frenemies Yorkshire Thorns, as we lost 4-3 in an end to end game, but regrouped in our last pool game to overcome Wigan Spartans 7-2.
Our loss to Thorns put us 2nd in the group, meaning we faced Wigan Touch Warriors in the Cup Semi Final. We knew it'd be a tough game, against them, but dug deep and had some excellent plays. Breaking their line a number of times, but struggled to convert.
On to the 3rd/4th playoff, against Percy Park Pirates. A great well spirited game from both teams, that lead to a deadlock at the final whistle.
DROP OFF
After an EPIC - seven minute - drop off, we finally got the right combination on the field to work their magic, and took the win!
A great day and enjoyed by everyone involved... On to the next
